Greetings from the President
Can you believe summer is almost over, where did it go? I hope all have had a wonderful season and have been sewing up your favorite designs.
"Thank You" to Amherst Museum Quilters and Kenmore Quilters Patch for the wonderful job you did hosting our June meeting. Also a thank you goes out to the two business members who provided a Mini-Mall at the meeting - Just Threads and Marie's Sewing Center from Lockport.
Don't forget to fill out the forms for a Community Service Grant and get it back to me by October 20th. We make our decision at the board meeting following that date. Also if an individual is interested (everyone in you guild is eligible to apply who is a member in good standing) in an Educational Grant you will need to fill out the form and get it to your delegate before our member meeting in December. We actually draw the names at the meeting so everyone will be surprised. A link to the two forms is in the newsletter.
See you at the meeting!

THE MEETING PROGRAM: Build a Guild
by Debbie Lester, Program Chair
At our last meeting I listened our delegates talk about their programs. More than one said "We had our end of year picnic like everyone does". This is my inspiration for the topic at our next consortium meeting - "How to Dress Up your Guild".
Have fun at your meetings! and learn how to think outside the box, A LOT. I will tell you what we did at our end of year luncheon and how one of the Piecemakers guilds is using some of those ideas. Be ready to share ideas and inspirations!!
FOR THIS MEETING!! Please bring in the address of some of your favorite websites or youtube videos that makes quilting enjoyable for you. Most of you have gone to quilterscache.com and all of the fabric makers have tons of free patterns but it would be nice to share the sites that you have found. I found RedBrolly the other day while looking for the cosmo embroidery site. So please write down the site and hand it in at the next meeting. I will put them together and have a hand out at the December meeting. You can always email them to me (Debbie Lester) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
